Troop 26 is so active in the outdoors that a group of Scouts wanted to help keep the trails open. So they signed up for the HAT Trail Boss program. This program was designed to teach Scouts the fundamentals of what it takes to lead a successful trail maintenance project. It includes how to do proper brushing, treading, water control, tool safety, first aid, and forest conservation. To earn this award the scouts had to attend a 6 hour trail maintenance class and lead at least two 6 hour trail maintenance projects in the forest. Seven of our Scouts finished their Trail Boss certification! Logan B, Alex M, Aidan P, Marcus K, Thomas E, Marshall K, Sam S.
