DESCRIPTION:PLEASE NOTE THIS HAS BEEN MOVED TO SAT-MONDAY.\nPLEASE REVIEW YOUR RSVP AND UPDATE IF NECESSARY.\nOne of the Troop’s favorite trips is the trip to Death Valley NP.  Death Valley is world renowned for its colorful and complex geology. Signups and a trip flyer for the January trip to Death Valley will start Tuesday December 13th and close on Tuesday January 3rd. 2023. This trip will be limited to 24 participants including adults.    Adults submit reimbursement requests by Feb. 16.\nSee attached flyer for more information.  Pack list will be distributed February 7.\nWe will be leaving 5:00am from Big Five on Friday\, February 17 and travel to Death Valley.  We will set up camp and take part in an afternoon activity.  The campsite is TBD.  On Saturday\, we will travel to Badwater\, the lowest elevation in the continental United States (-282 ft. elevation)\, Zabriskie Point\, Dantes View\, Harmony Borax Works\, and see some attractions. On Sunday\, ride the giant sand dunes (bring your plastic Boogie Board and ). We will head home arriving in the early evening.  This is a car camping trip\, with the extra gear that makes these trips more comfortable so we’ll need several adult drivers to make it happen.  The estimated cost for the trip is $100. (Transportation\, Camping fee\, Saturday breakfast\, and Sunday dinner included.) All other cooking is done by the patrol (Saturday dinner\, Sunday breakfast\, lunch\, dinner\, and Monday breakfast and lunch). Bring sack lunch for Friday\, February 17.\n. DESCRIPTION:Hi Troop 26\,\nPastor Huskey and the trustees of the Church are extremely grateful for our help with sandbagging during the rains. They have asked now if we could help with some other tasks around the Church\, to address flooding problems\, and the time to do it would be this Saturday afternoon\, from 1:30 – sunset. Our tasks:\n1) Clean the gutters around the sanctuary. (We’ll need some adult volunteers for the tall ladder work.)\n2) Moving furniture and cleaning in Clemens Hall.\n3) Digging out a deep and wide space around the corner outside our troop room\, so that the Church can get access to the walls and foundation for repairs.\nPlease RSVP\, and please bring gloves\, eye protection\, and a shovel if you have one.\nService is a part of our mission. This is a special opportunity to help the Church that has hosted us for many decades.
