Guadalupe Dunes

Meet at Big 5 at 8 a.m. for a Troop 26 classic: exploring and sand surfing down the Guadalupe Dunes. We’ll drive 90 minutes, hike across the flats for 1-2 miles to get to the big dunes, and have a blast. This amazing geographic feature is otherworldly and not to be missed!
Bring a sack lunch, hat, sunscreen, wind/warm layer, 2 liters of water, and a boogie board & bike helmet if you want to surf. Shorts are acceptable but light hiking pants can make things go easier on the knees. Sunglasses and a gaiter can further make things easier on your face and eyes. **BIKE HELMETS ARE REQUIRED**
