Caliente Hot Springs Adventure

Lead, Mr Rutledge & ASM Wealiem, more details to follow, and we need to see how the El Nino shapes our winter this year Note this is a day day trip, which utilizes a 3-day weekend for the Santa Barbara Unified School district. We’re still working out if this is possible, but how does a backpacking trip, with a natural hot spring soak sound to you?!It’s a longer trip, so the plan is to hike down from Camino Cielo, past Forbush and Cottam, and out and camp near the Santa Ynez river. Then the next day, don’t break camp, but do a day hike up to the hot springs! Hike back, and sleep your relaxed body another night. The next morning we pack up and do the hike back up to Camino Cielo. Great prep trip for Philmont! Plenty of time and meals for signoffs too.Bring your usual trip gear, PLUS remember a swimsuit!
