Troop 26:
We are approaching a cutoff time where we need to decide how many spots to hold for summer camp. I want to make sure everyone who wants to go to summer camp in July with the troop is able to do so. Please read on, and please RSVP on our Scoutbook calendar.
Do you want to earn merit badges and other awards? Want to do this in one of the most gorgeous alpine lake settings you can imagine?
We have reserved the best campsite at Camp Hi-Sierra for the week of July 6-13, 2024. This camp comes highly recommended, and, to my knowledge, this is the first time Troop 26 has had this experience.
Read about Camp Hi-Sierra at https://camphi-sierra.org/chs/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/CHS-Program-Guide-2021-Version-1.pdf. It is northwest of Yosemite, on the Tuolumne River, elevation about 5,000 ft. (which will help get us ready for the Sierra Treks!). It offers every merit badge you would expect, and some that are uniquely popular, such as Welding.
Please mark this on your family calendars now, and RSVP “Yes” here so that we can plan accordingly. We will post a cost estimate shortly, but it will likely be just under $1,000 — a bargain for a week’s stay anywhere!
