Gaviota Wind Caves Hike (Armstrong & Rowe)

Wind Caves/ Gaviota Pass Overlook Hike, Sat 31st May
Car pool from Big5 at 8am, planned return to Church ~1pm
This planned hike is only ~4 miles total. From the trail head we will walk a short way along a dirt road and then head up a single track toward the wind caves. After some exploring we will head around to the overlook. We shall have a snack there and turnaround and go back the way we came. This is another good training hike for Sierra Trek. As it is a short hike in mileage why not challenge yourself with a heavier backpack to simulate a overnight back packing trip! The trailhead is by Gaviota State Park Beach and Campground. Dont go into the Campground but stay on Gaviota Beach Rd, parking right next to trailhead
Things to bring:
Ten Essentials! Two liters of water! Snacks! Appropriate clothing for a hike! A good attitude!
