Inyo Craters

NOTE – TRIP DATES MOVED TO MATCH THE PRESIDENTS DAY HOLIDAY- Trip is Saturday to Monday.Meet Saturday 2/14 at 7am at Big5. Eat breakfast before showing up, bring a sack lunch for Saturday.Our Snowshoe backpacking trip (assuming there’s enough snow)! We hike a few miles – on our home-built snowshoes – and camp overnight in the snow! On the trip home, we stop at Keohe hot springs to have lunch and warm up. This trip is a T26 tradition and one you’ll remember for years! This trip is not suitable for every scout so talk to Mr. Schley or Mr. Weakliem if you’re unsure, or are a newer scout. You need to have done this trip before, or the Beartrap overnight/cold weather trip.We leave Saturday morning and will spend a relaxed day driving to the Bishop area (while stopping at some sights along the way) sleep overnight near Bishop, then hike in on Sunday, and back out on Monday followed by our stop at the hot springs and the drive home, arriving back to Santa Barbara late (10pm or so).This trip is dependent on snow conditions (and, in the event of tons of snow, road conditions!). More details to follow too…And the Trip cost is $125 (subject to adjustment – but we’ll nail down the exact number by November) and includes transportation, Friday dinner, Sunday lunch and dinner, and hot springs admission.
