Mistletoe Picking for the Holidays
We will meet up at Big 5 and drive up to the Santa Ynez River Recreation Area where we will have a short hike 1-2 miles scouting the area for Mistletoe along the way. On the return we will pick mistletoe bring it back to the start point and put mistletoe in bags. Scouts will then take bags of mistletoe and sell them. They can be sold in groups in front of stores shopping center (I will check with stores first). Other ideas include neighbors, businesses and college area. Mistletoe is a 5$ donation. In the past most scouts sold anywhere from 30- 50 bags netting $150-$250 for their troop/camp fund. There will be lots of mistletoe for families to bring home. Bring a sack lunch and water. Parents who are registered adults are welcome.
