Friends of Troop 26 | 2023

Happy Holidays from the Friends of Troop 26 Santa Barbara. It was in the late spring months of 2019 that a group of enthusiastic parents started the movement to create FOT26. The goal was to better support the troop ability to provide camp scholarships, equipment and trips, ensuring that Scouts had the best and safest experience in scouting. We have grown and flourished in four years. In just the last month we have purchased 10 new tents and provided a scholarship to a scout to continue with scouting.

We are a high adventure troop with a goal to foster personal and leadership growth focused program that is unique to Scouting. As a scout-led troop we benefit from the diverse social and economic backgrounds of our scouts. FOT is heading into its 5th year as a California nonprofit stronger and better able to support the scouts and Troop 26. This support in large part is due to the financial support of its past and present scouting community.

We could use your support. All the administration and legal fees of our charity are donated pro bono to Friends of Troop 26 by Michael Schley of Schley Look Guthrie & Locker LLP Attorneys at Law. We are able to put close to 100% of donations directly into supporting the Troop and Scouts who need extra financial help to participate in troop activities. Please consider making a donation to Friends of Troop 26. If you have any questions please contact Jyll Doubleday, President, Friends of Troop 26 at [email protected]; or Paul Weakliem, ASM, Troop 26, at [email protected].
