This Spring-Break trip will be our first in numerous years to Santa Cruz Island, which offers an exciting boat ride over to the island, excellent hiking with beautiful vistas, group campsites and a guided kayaking trip that includes sea caves
It started out a bit windy…
WHEN: March 21-23, 2022

Departure will be from Five Points at 7 am sharp (be there by 6:45) on Sunday, March 20. We will drive to Island Packers dock in Ventura Harbor for a 9:00 am departure. We will retrieve packs at the other side and scouts will backpack the five-mile Potato Harbor loop, ending at our campsite.
The following two days will be filled with additional activities, including kayaking, hiking, and swimming.
Our return will be in the afternoon of Wednesday, March 23th, departing from the island at 4:00 pm. We will stop for supper on the way back, so expected return to St. Marks Church will be between 6:30 – 7:30 pm.
Cooking will be by patrol. Adults will be two or three cook groups, depending upon numbers.
