November Overnight by Bruce Belfiore

Overnight Backpacking Trip – November 21st & 22nd, 2015

The original plan for the November overnight was Cold Spring – Forbush, however, due to the continued lack of water in the back country, this trip is being revised to hike into Cottam from East Camino Cielo. There is a large meadow area there for a possible orienteering course, and excellent additional day hike options if that is the preference. Due to the lack of water, all scouts will need to consdider carefully how much water they bring in, a minimum of 4 liters per scout.

This backpacking trip will start at a trail junction off of East Camino Cielo Road, then down to the Forbush Campground and carry on to the Cottam campground. This should be a great hike for this time of the year.

We will meet at 7:00 am Saturday morning, November 21, in the Big 5 parking lot at Five Points shopping center.
