santa-barbara-troop-26-fourth-of-july-0175
The 2014 Fourth of July Parade in Santa Barbara is coming up.

We will need approximately 20-30 Boy and Cub Scouts to help with this event in celebrating our nation’s birth, but we can have more participants if we exceed this number.

The time commitment on the day of the parade will be from approximately noon to 2:00 pm.

We would like have scouts from all Troops and Packs in the South Coast District participate. There are no special skills required to participate. Just wear your uniform, smile, and wave to the parade watchers.

Please contact Trey Pinner if you would like to participate be email tpinner@bssmco.com or 805-963-1971 wk

Jacques Benoit will be in charge of the event on the actual day of the event. He can be reached at sbboyscout@gmail.com or by cell phone at 896-4489

See you on the 4th!

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Please meet on the NE corner of Micheltorena and State Street in front of Trinity Episcopal Church. We do not know our exact placement in the parade, but will move to our starting point about 10 minutes before the start of the parade.

If you cannot find us, just go to the registration table and ask where the BSA location is in the parade.

PLEASE BE AT THE MEETING SPOT BY 12:15 PM IN YOUR FIRST CLASS UNIFORM.

There will be a sign in sheet. Parents, please make sure you sign your scout in at the start of the parade. The parade will end at COta Street at approximately 2:00 PM.

We will be waiting on the north side of Cota Street between State and Anacapa Street.

Very important: Please come and sign your scout out when you pick them up at the end.

I will not be at the event, but Jacque Benoit, Scoutmaster of Troop 2 will be handling the event for the district on the 4th.

Thank you,
Trey Pinner, District Vice Chairman South Coast District
