Tequepis Peak Hike

Five scouts attended the Tequepis Peak hike. We met at Big 5 at noon and drove to the trailhead near Rancho Alegre. The trail is a challenging 8.4-mile round trip with about 2,300 feet of elevation gain. It begins near Lake Cachuma and climbs the north side of the Santa Ynez Mountains, with beautiful views of Lake Cachuma and the Santa Ynez Valley, and ocean views from the top.
