Troop 26 Summer Family BBQ by Benjamin Zevallos

Once again, Troop 26’s annual barbeque was a smashing success! We had an excellent meal of burgers and hotdogs, cooked by our very own Chuck Randall, and Mr. Brown. We would like to thank all of the parents that helped make this event a success. Even though the food was huge, fun competitive games were also played. The scouts participated in a heated ultimate frisbee game, while some others decided to take a stroll on the beautiful beach. What a city we live in huh?! After we were all nice and tired, and our stomachs were happily filled, we spent some time simply reminiscing about memories that our tight group all shared. This event is a perfect opportunity for the scouts, and more importantly, family members who may have previously not been affiliated to scouts, to meet all of the great individuals that are affiliated with the troop. Hopefully we can continue this event. Its significant effect it has on the scouts as well as the families is simply a testament to its importance.
